PRESENTER BIO:

Kailin Speer, Assistant Principal of Curriculum, Dayspring Academy

My name is Kailin Speer. I have been a Florida educator for the past 20 years in both the public and charter school setting - 16 years in the classroom ranging from 1st through 4th grade, 1 year as an International Baccalaureate Coordinator, 2 years as a Teacher Mentor/Curriculum Specialist & currently 1 year as Assistant Principal of Curriculum. Having taught in an International Baccalaureate school, and currently working at a School for the Arts, I feel I have extensive experience in helping educators think outside-the-box to make learning fun and meaningful for all learners. It is so important for children to make connections with their learning, have a knowledgeable and open mind to the world around them, and be able to think critically and creatively. My passion is to help make this happen for the educators and learners at my school, while also sharing this knowledge with others.
