  • Please note:

    Audio/Visual Equipment

In every session room, there will be an interactive touch screen, with speakers, that presenters can plug their computer into. We recommend that you bring your own adapter if your computer does not have an HDMI connector. You must bring any other equipment you will need, such as laptop computers, document cameras, speakers, HDMI adapters, etc.

    No Internet Access

Internet access in Hotel Conference Rooms is extremely expensive, and therefore FAAE is unable to provide internet access to presenters. You may be able to use your mobile phone as a WiFi hotspot for your presentation, but just in case, you may want to plan your presentation so that it is presentable without internet:

    * Take screenshots of any websites you will be demonstrating.

    * Make sure video clips you will be showing are downloaded as video files and saved on your computer.

    * If using Google Docs or Google Presentations, make sure you make them available offline using the same computer you will be using to present.

    * Test it in advance: Turn WiFi off, or turn on Airplane Mode. Then, go through your presentation to make sure everything still works.

If the nature of your presentation requires that all participants will need internet access, keep in mind that they will probably be using the cellular data on their phones as their only option.
