Lullaby Language: Comfort Food for Connections
led by: Shanti Sanchez and Bridget Lyons
Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute Lullaby Project pairs young parents and caregivers with professional artists and facilitators to write and sing personal lullabies for their children. Participants will be introduced to practices used by Lullaby Project teaching artists and facilitators that spark the creative process, as well as bigger-picture things about connecting with participants. Lullaby creation acknowledges the creativity and musicality of each participant and honors their poetic, musical, linguistic, cultural, and stylistic choices. Trust the process, which is just as important as the outcome.
