This session will explore how MusicFirst’s wide range of music technology tools can facilitate podcasting, digital story telling, film composing and more, and can make learning more engaging. The session will show teachers how to easily add creativity and collaboration to their lessons in a fun and effective way, complete with curricular lesson plans.

Jody Underwood, Ed Director, MusicFirst
With over 20 years of experience in educational technology, Jody has dedicated his career to "Educating the Educators." He has designed more than 400 cutting-edge audio, video, music technology, and recording systems, helping countless educators integrate technology into their teaching. Beyond his professional expertise, Jody is a passionate musician—leading his church band on piano and performing on keyboards & keytar in his high-energy ‘80s tribute band, MIXTAPE. Jody’s enthusiasm for music education and deep technical expertise makes him a fantastic addition to MusicFirst. As Education Manager, Jody works closely with schools and educators to help them enhance their teaching with the power of technology.
Marjorie LoPresti, MusicFirst
Marjorie LoPresti is Director of Content for MusicFirst. She is a frequent clinician at educational conferences, sharing how to improve student engagement, achievement and assessment, as well as enhance creativity through best practices.
Marjorie has over 30 years of experience teaching elementary and secondary general/vocal music, piano, music technology, theory, and composition. She was named New Jersey Master Music Teacher and received the TI:ME Music Technology Teacher of the Year Award based on her deep knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, brain-based learning, and standards-based assessment.
Marj holds degrees in Music Education and Educational Technology. She integrated technology into her teaching for over 30 years in the East Brunswick, NJ public schools, and was adjunct professor for Music Education Technology at Rutgers University. Marj is co-author of Practical Music Education Technology, Oxford University Press.
