This workshop is a presentation of a lesson I have done with my students from kindergarten to 6th graders. I will go over the lesson with participants; looking at Florida standards, pertinent videos, Reading the poem In Flanders Fields by McCrae and make a felt poppy pin in honor of veterans. I will share my tips on connecting with local veterans group and how children can write cards, letters or artwork.
